Susie Aldridge, BA

Director of Finance and Operations

Susie Aldridge has a proven combination of management and organizational abilities in both the Dental and Medical industries. For over 25 years Susie has been involved in customer service utilizing a vast array of professional skills attained at Continental Airlines, the Center for Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry and St. Charles Hospital. Susie has a wealth of knowledge working with all levels of large and small scale corporations. Her financial background serves to strengthen her position working with patients, clients and professional colleagues. She is a true expert at front office operations. In fact she has spent her entire career working with customers and patients managing all clinical and administrative operations incorporating patient scheduling, registration, care coordination, treatment plan presentation, training and development, organization and planning, finance and much, much more.

Her extensive knowledge also encompasses implementing “state-of-the-art” policies and systems including  the maintenance of dental records, OSHA protocols and a continuous improvement plan; establishing and enforcing HIPAA policy; developing office policies and procedures; coordinating continuing education opportunities; and managing all financial aspects including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, budgeting, income statements, and balance sheets. She is superb at what she does and she understands your business.

Susie received her bachelor of business administration in finance at the University of Texas at El Paso.

William T. Mullaney, MBA, Venture Capitalist

Senior Advisor

As one of a few senior advisors, Mr. Mullaney brings with him over 45 years of successful operating experience in managing domestic and international profit centers, building successful new business ventures, and marketing new products. He also has extensive “hands-on” experience in structuring and implementing results-oriented management teams. Bill’s experience in the field of Marketing and start-up businesses is unparalleled and he brings a tremendous value to Aldridge & Associates, LLC clients. Bill is truly “one of a kind.”

With a bachelor’s degree in finance and an MBA in marketing from Pennsylvania State University, Mr. Mullaney began his career in business with the U.S. Army, where he developed and presented courses in management to officers and department of Army managerial personnel. During his tenure he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal.

From 1970 to 1983, Mr. Mullaney held various marketing positions with health care giants Medtronic, Baxter Healthcare, Johnson & Johnson, and G.D. Searle. His accomplishments include:
  • Introducing three major healthcare products to market
  • Directing the acquisition of two biomedical companies for Johnson & Johnson
  • Served as president of Johnson & Johnson's Professional Products Diversification Task Force Group
  • Directed international marketing activities for Medtronic, a Fortune 100 company, acquiring new business product lines worldwide

After a stint as president and CEO of SCM Technologies, Inc., Baylor College of Medicine’s venture arm for technology transfer, Mr. Mullaney became a partner in Ventures Medical Associates, investing in early stage pre-IPO healthcare-related businesses.

Through its two funds, Ventures Medical launched over 20 companies, six of which became publicly traded companies. The company was ranked nationally for return on investment by Venture Economics.

Mr. Mullaney was also a board member of 10 health care organizations, serving as chairman for four of them.

Marsha Nelms Muawwad, MBA

Senior Advisor

Marsha Muawwad has been working with senior executives her entire career. As a career strategist with ExecuNet, she speaks with over 20 C-suite executives per week on issues such as job search strategies, resume preparation, interviewing and negotiation skills, and ideas about networking.

For 15 years, Marsha was managing partner of an international consulting firm, establishing both government and healthcare practices. The consulting firm’s products were all geared to top executives regarding issues such as strategic development and deployment, customer retention, lean management, and leadership development.

Marsha’s clients included senior executives from both domestic and international organizations. In her role leading the government consulting practice, she worked with the United States Air Force to design and implement its civilian performance management system worldwide, led by generals at the Pentagon and other high level Pentagon officials.

She also worked with the heads of the Federal Reserve Board, Treasury Department, Defense Intelligence Agency, National Security Agency, Central Intelligence Agency, and U.S. Department of State.

In the private sector, Marsha worked with senior executives of CSX Railroad, Marriott Hotels, MCI, Dominion Power and Light, Humana, Duke University Medical Center, University of Kentucky Medical Center, University of Florida, Shands Medical Center, Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), Blue Cross Blue Shield, George Washington University and Medical Center, and many, many others. She has worked with senior executives in Italy, Sweden, Hong Kong, Singapore, England, Denmark, Australia, Israel, and Lebanon.

Marsha also offers personal executive consultations with professionals including lawyers, physicians, ambassadors, congressmen, senators, and governors. She has spoken at the U.S. Conference of Mayors and the National Governor’s Association.

As a resident of Washington, D.C. Marsha is chapter president of the Capital Speakers Club, board member of the Washington Ballet, and former board member of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the International Eye Foundation. Her husband is an orthopedic trauma surgeon, colonel in the United States Air Force Reserves, and a Kuwait and Iraq war veteran.

Marsha graduated summa cum laude from Liberty University with a degree in religion and economics.

Shane Samy, DMD

Advising Director of Clinical Affairs

Dr. Samy holds a doctorate of dental medicine degree from Oregon Health Sciences University and serves on multiple dental organization boards, committees, and councils, providing personnel screening and hiring, team building, and managerial effectiveness training for multiple continuing education programs.

Following his organizational commitments, Dr. Samy founded the Oregon AAID Implant Maxicourse® where he is the acting director. He has completed extensive courses in implant care, bioesthetics, temporomandibular joint disorder, and comprehensive reconstruction.

Dr. Samy continues to maintain a private practice with an emphasis on advanced restorative and implant dentistry. His understanding of clinical dentistry and business dynamics, combined with his implant expertise, make him a trusted advisor to many colleagues, managers, and dental industry executives.

Over the past 20 years, Dr. Samy has worked with a diverse group of companies in the public and private sector, from large corporations to family-owned businesses. His expertise has benefited businesses from dental practices to service industries in improving employee productivity and the quality of care provided.

Becky Sheller

Front Office Training / Operations

Becky Sheller has been involved in the front office operations of multiple successful dental practices for over 13 years. Becky’s “hands-on” approach and steady leadership have enabled numerous clinicians to benefit from her vast experience and wealth of knowledge.

Becky serves as a trainer for Aldridge & Associates, LLC and is involved with all Front Office Operations. Becky’s technical proficiency in operations includes utilization of Patterson Dental’s Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Dentimax, and numerous others.

From the initial patient contact, scheduling for your success, treatment planning acceptance, insurance, financial arrangements and follow-on care, Becky is ideal at helping train your front office to maximize its efficiency and increase your production. Becky also has extensive training and experience at Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.

Dana Waterbury, RDH / Dental Hygiene Training

Dana Waterbury is a dental hygienist who offers a wealth of experience to our team. Dana has more than 20 years of experience in all phases of dentistry, including dental assisting, dental hygiene, front office operations, teaching, and peer consulting.

Dana currently works as a dental hygienist and is a part-time instructor at a local community college.  She has extensive knowledge in comprehensive care, having trained at the Panky Institute, LVI and Pac-Live. She has dentist-revered attributes such as experience in advanced anesthesia, allowing the dentist more time to practice actual procedures. Dana also has an innate ability to successfully educate her patients on the necessity of treatment, resulting in a high acceptance rate. Dana is the ideal trainer to increase your production and profitability in all areas of your dental practice. She brings with her a tremendous amount of energy and enthusiasm and her patients love her.

Mohamed Sharawy, BDS, PhD

Senior Adviser for Clinical Affairs

Dr. Mohamed Sharawy received his bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honor (B.D.S.) in 1962 and oral surgery training in 1965 from Cairo University, School of Dentistry, Cairo, Egypt. He received his Ph.D. degree in Anatomical Sciences from the School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Rochester, Rochester, N.Y. in 1970. He is currently Professor and Director of Anatomy in the Department of Oral Biology and Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, Georgia. Dr. Sharawy is Professor of Anatomy at the MCG School of Medicine and School of Graduate Studies. Dr. Sharawy is co-editor and contributor to several symposia and books of oral implantology and TMJ. He has published over one hundred and eighty research papers and made numerous presentations at national and international meetings. Dr. Sharawy’s research has been funded by extramural sources from industry, NIH and educational grants from numerous sources for the past 38 years. Dr. Sharawy is President of the Anatomical Board, State of Georgia and was recently elected to the Board of Governors, American Academy of Implant Dentistry Research Foundation. He is a member of many professional societies among which are: International Association of Dental Research, American Association of Anatomists, American Association of Implant Prosthodontics, American Dental Association, and OKU. Dr. Sharawy served as mentor and major advisor to four Ph.D. Oral Biology students, 12 MS students and 32 joint supervision clinician scientists Ph.D. International dentists. Dr. Sharawy is the recipient of many national and international awards in recognition of his achievements in research, continuing education and teaching excellence.

Dr. Sharawy has presented the surgical anatomy course at the Medical College of Georgia (3 courses/year for the past 32 years), the University of Oregon, University of Texas at San Antonio, University of Pittsburgh, Loma Linda University, Fort Bliss at El Paso, Texas, Fort Gordon, Georgia, Fort Tripler, Hawaii and to the Korean Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the Gnatologia Society at Milano, Italy, and to the Egyptian Military Academy. He is a visiting professor at Carl Misch Institute for Implants, four universities in Egypt and one university in Saudi Arabia. Dr. Sharawy was the past interim dean and one of the initiator and developers of the School of Dentistry, King Abdel-Aziz University at Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Michele Black, BA

Marketing Consultant

Michele Black, B.A. Michele has over 25 years experience in sales and marketing working in the food/beverage, pharmaceutical and dental industries. Much of that time was spent as a Senior Territory Account Manager for one of the largest dental implant companies in the United States. She worked with hundreds of dentists and their staff to help grow their dental implant market share.

In 2005, Michele founded Bridgetown Promotions, a company specializing in developing and strengthening practice branding and identity. The company offers promotional products, bulk mail advertising, printing and graphic design services that include custom designed logos, stationery, business cards, postcards, treatment plan folders, reminder cards, brochures, and more. Michele is skilled at working with your practice to create a unique marketing package that is designed to reflect your personal style, and one that will optimize your brand exposure to drive your business forward.

In addition, Michele provides event coordination services and is currently the Conference Coordinator for the Columbia River Dental Conference held in October for dentists in the Portland/SW Washington areas.

She received her Bachelor or Arts Degree in Business Management from St. Martin’s College (now St. Martin’s University), Lacey, Washington.

Ed Hobbs, DDS, MBA, MSBA

Senior Adviser for Clinical Operations

Ed Hobbs, DDS, MBA, MSBA Dr. Hobbs is a graduate of the Baylor College of Dentistry where he earned his doctorate. He has completed a tremendous amount of post-doctorate work at Tuft’s University, Medical College of Georgia, University of Southern California, University of California Los Angeles and many more. He has completed multiple programs in oral facial pain, oral medicine and sleep disorders at the University of Southern California. Dr. Hobbs has earned both his MBA and MSBA program with an emphasis in health care management from Southern Methodist and Texas Tech University. He has spent much of his career traveling abroad mentoring other dentists and surgeons in the field of Prosthodontics and Dental Implantology. In fact Dr. Hobbs has completed over 25,000 cases of complete removable dentures alone.
